Wolf Creek Inn State ParkTravelers on Interstate 5 who pass the the turnoff to Wolf Creek have no idea what they just missed. It is literally a historical museum you can walk in, sit on, have lunch or spend the night. The historic atmosphere of the building's interior is made even more inviting by the icing of country hospitality brought to the Inn from the hills and canyons by the staff who live in this rural region of southwest Oregon.
The Wolf Creek Inn was constructed in 1883 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is among the best preserved and oldest active traveler's inns in Oregon.
Directions From Grants Pass, drive north on Interstate 5 about 20 miles to Exit 76. At the end of the off-ramp, turn left (under the freeway to the stop sign. Turn right and drive about half a mile to Wolf Creek Inn on your left. If you want to take the scenic route, follow the Rogue River Scenic Loop Drive and consider spending the night at Wolf Creek after a day of white water rafting, hiking and exploring.
