Burned Timber Creek Falls, Oregon

Burned Timber Creek Waterfall, Wild and Scenic Rogue River, Briggs Valley Road, Grants Pass, OregonThis is a quarter mile, moderate hike that follows the Taylor Creek Trail to a waterfall on Burned Timber Creek. Taylor Creek Trail is well maintained but to see the best view of the waterfall you need to follow narrow foot paths off the main trail. The first of these foot paths goes to the left at the point where the Taylor Creek Trail turns to go into Burned Timber Creek Canyon. This trail is fairly short and takes you to a viewpoint above the falls. NOTE: There is a fairly sharp drop off at the view point; stay back from the edge of the canyon. The other trail drops down to the left after Taylor Creek Trail crosses the bridge over Burned Timber Creek. This steep and challenging trail takes you to the bottom of the falls.

Directions

From Grants Pass, take I-5 north to exit 61 (Merlin). Turn left at the end of the off-ramp and drive 12 miles to Taylor Creek Road (USFS 25 to Briggs Valley). Turn left and drive five miles to bridge and road on the left. The trail begins on the left immediately after crossing the bridge.
