Registration for the tour on 22 August, 2009 will be limited to 75 vehicles. First come-first serve. There is no charge for going on the tour but donations to the non-profits are always welcome. To register, e-mail the following information to the link below: Name E-mail this information to: REGISTRATION (contact199@highway199.org) *We will be spacing vehicles apart on the tour to reduce problems with dust. There will be about 10 cars entering the tour route every 15 minutes beginning at 8:00am and ending at 10:00am. If you are an early riser and want to get an early start, indicate your preferred starting time closer to 8:00. If you want to have a leisurely breakfast or go to the tidepools (see note below) in the early morning or do some beach combing before going on the tour, indicate your preferred time somewhere between 9-10. You can tell us which 15 minute block you want to be in or we can put you in one ourselves. As the tour fills, it will be more difficult to fit people into the desired time block. Departure time will be regimented closely. If you miss your 15 minute block and arrive late, you will need to join others who may be waiting on standby to take the place of "no shows". NOTE: Low tide on 22
August will be about 7:30am in Crescent City. This will be a
relatively low tide and is a good opportunity for tidepool
exploring. Tour information and directions Tour information, departure time, directions, and an update on special activities related to the event will be sent to you by e-mail after your registration information has been received.
