Ocean WorldCrescent City, Highway 101, California
Ocean World is a fun opportunity for families who want to give their children the experience of seeing ocean life in safe surroundings. For a small fee you can enjoy a tour with a guide to see a display of tidepool life that is set up in a way that kids can get their hands in to see what a starfish feels like and experience the sticky tentacles of a sea anemone. The tour continues past a tank with fish from the local ocean and another tank with sharks (the type that don't bite) that is set up so you can reach in and feel the skin and movement as they swim around. The tour ends with a short program presented by a trainer and sea lions.
