Enderts Beach Scenic DriveEnderts Beach drive follows a short a section of old Highway 101 to a bluff with a wheelchair accessible overlook and picnic area. A foot trail leaves the parking area and follows old Highway 101 for a short distance to where the Nickel Creek Trail takes hikers to a secluded beach and a good place to explore tidepools. For those who want a longer hike, the Last Chance Trail continues following old Highway 199 for about five miles to Damnation Creek Trail. All these features are within the boundaries of Redwood National and State Parks. Crescent Beach picnic area is located at the end of a short spur road about half way out to the bluffs and is within the boundary of Redwood National and State Parks. It is a great place to get out and take a walk on the beach and a nearby estuary offers good birding opportunities. Two tables on the meadow overlooking the beach are wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair accessible restroom is located at one end of the parking area. Directions From Crescent City, follow Highway 101 south out of town. As you leave town you will pass a beach and a motel on the right. You will want to turn on the paved road on the right about half a mile past the motel. The Crescent Beach picnic area is a mile up the road on the right. The vista point is located on the right just before you enter the parking area at the end of the road.
